FAQs

FAQs – Booking Tickets

The seats that I wish to book online are available but the system will not allow me to book them?

This is most likely to be because the seat selection is leaving a single seat. In the interest of the Theatre and show producers we are committed to ensuring that each performance is as fully attended as possible. We regret any inconvenience this may cause and ask that you call the Box Office in this instance so they may be able to help resolve this issue.

What should I do if I have not received an email confirmation for my booking?

Please check your spam/junk folder for your email confirmation. We do ask that you allow 12 hours for this to come through as delays can happen. After this time you can call the Box Office team on 01438 363200 who will be able to resolve this for you.

What do I do if my tickets haven’t arrived?

If you have not received your tickets after 7 working days please contact the Box Office and have your booking details ready. Tickets that have already been sent out in the post will not be resent. They will however be re-printed and you will be able to collect them from the Box Office before or on the day of the performance.

Do you accept Theatre Tokens?

Theatre Tokens are not accepted. Gordon Craig vouchers are available to purchase for any amount and are redeemable on all performances.

Are Concessions available on all shows?

All Concessions are listed in our What’s On guide and online. Concessions vary depending on performance. The Management reserves the right to remove Concessions at any time.

Does my Child need a ticket?

Tickets are required for every person entering the Theatre and Concert Hall. Children under 18 months may be eligible for a ‘Babes in arms’ ticket on selected performances, you will need to book this with the Box Office prior to the performance. When under 16’s prices are not available children will be charged at the standard rate.

Can I book a wheelchair space online?

Wheelchair spaces are currently unavailable online. Bookings need to be made directly with the Box Office either in person or by telephone to allow for the correct allocation of seating.

FAQs – Your Visit

Is there disabled parking nearby?

Blue Badge Holders are permitted to park to the front of the building in the allocated bays which are located along the service road which runs along the front of Sports reception. There is a barrier at the entrance which will lift as you drive towards it. You will need a code to enter into the keypad which is located at the barrier as you leave. These codes are available from the Box Office and Sports Reception.

Can I drop people off and not park?

Access for dropping people off to the theatre is located between the SBC car parks to the front of the building it is then just a short walk to the Sports reception entrance or the steps which bring you to the front entrance of the Theatre. For disabled access you will need to enter the service road at the front of the building where you can get fairly close to the Sports Reception doors. If you choose this option you would need to call ahead to Sports Reception on the day on 01438 579379 in order to be given the code to get back out of the service road.

Can I bring food and drink with me?

Only food purchased on the premises are permitted. The Coffee House sells a wide selection of drinks and snacks. Drinks must be in a plastic glass or bottle, and hot drinks must have a lid on if taken into the auditorium. We do ask in the interest of all patrons that ‘noisy food’ ie Crisps, popcorn is not taken into the auditorium to ensure that disturbance is kept to a minimum.

What happens if I am late?

If you are late arriving to a performance a member of our Front of House Team will escort you to your seat, this is for safety reasons as the house lights would have been dimmed and stairs may need to be negotiated. We advise arriving 20 mins before curtain up to minimise lateness and reduce disturbing other patrons and performers.

Can I take my pushchair into the Theatre?

We cannot permit pushchairs in the auditorium as they would block evacuation routes and fire exits. You can leave your pushchair in the Theatre Foyer but please take all valuables with you into the Theatre, as we cannot accept responsibility for them if left unattended.
