IMPORTANT UPDATE - FACE COVERINGS

In light of the latest Government action to move to plan B, it is now a legal requirement for all patrons attending the Gordon Craig Theatre & Concert Hall to wear a face covering, unless medically exempt or under the age of 11. Proof of exemption may be required.

In order to keep operating during the winter months and to make sure we keep our staff, performers and audiences safe this is the best course of action. We strongly advise that all visitors take an LFT test before travelling to the venue. Currently you do not need to show evidence of vaccination or a negative LFT on arrival. However this guidance may be updated and we will endeavour to communicate any changes if this comes into effect.

It has and continues to be a difficult time for our industry and we hope you understand the need for action. Please be patient and understanding with our staff as they carry out any necessary entry regulations. As always we thank you for your continued support and hope you enjoy your time with us.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PARKING

There are extensive building works taking place adjacent to the building whilst the new Bus Station is being constructed. The usual routes into the car parks surrounding the building are subject to diversions. Please allow extra time for travelling and parking at the venue. There are currently two car parks in operation to the front of the building. Patrons using these car parks for an evening performance are advised to pre-pay at the pay station located in the car park if arriving after 6pm as a fixed rate then applies. This will reduce the number of people queuing at the end of the evening.

There is ample parking in the nearby multi storey car park located in the Westgate Shopping Centre. Please note this is around a 3 minute walk away from the venue so may not be ideal for those that require assistance. (for Sat Navs - SG1 1QR) The current rate if parking after 6.30pm in the Westgate Centre car park is £2.50.

Please note all car parks including the shopping centre are run by Stevenage Borough Council and the rates are subject to change.

There are limited parking spaces available to blue badge holders, located on the service road at the front of the theatre, these spaces are subject to the usual restrictions are policed by traffic wardens and cannot be pre-booked. Patrons are advised not to park in the Leisure Park as this is operated by a private company and your vehicle may be clamped.
