Travel & Parking

There are specific parking spaces available for customers with mobility difficulties; these are located at the front of the theatre. Blue badges must be displayed clearly in the vehicle. Those using this area without a badge risk being fined.

Toilets

Toilets suitable for all are located in the Theatre Foyer, Restaurant area and Sports.

Access to the Theatre & Box Office

The Theatre, Box Office, Restaurant and Bar are all located on the first floor. There is a lift on the ground floor which can be accessed using the sports entrance on London Road.

A limited number of wheelchairs can be accommodated in the auditorium by prior arrangement when booking tickets. It is essential that an able-bodied adult, who will be entitled to a complimentary ticket, accompany wheelchair visitors. Seating is in Row P and designed so that a companion can sit alongside the wheelchair.

Please note there is no longer access to the theatre via the entrance on Lytton Way.

Access to the Concert Hall

There is level access for wheelchairs to all areas of the Concert Hall. There are twelve seats available for wheelchair users. It is essential that an able-bodied adult who is entitled to a complimentary ticket accompany wheelchair visitors.

To enable us to help you as much as possible please advise us in advance of any additional requirements you or anyone in your party may have.

Hearing Impaired Customers

There are two infrared hearing sensory systems installed in the auditorium with the generous support of Marconi Instruments.

Sennheiser Infra – Red System

The Sennheiser system is a hearing aid designed to enhance the enjoyment of the show. It comes in two varieties. There is a headphone receiver or a personal induction loop necklace receiver to choose from. If you require the use of the Sennheiser system, please enquire at the cloakroom prior to the performance.

Certain performances are signed for the hard of hearing. For further information on these please contact the Box Office on 01438 363200.

Strobe Lighting/Special Effects

It is possible that strobe lighting, smoke or gun shots may be used in some productions. Signs are always displayed on the night of a show if these special effects are in use. If this is likely to impair your enjoyment of the show please mention this at the time of booking.

Assistance Dogs

Stevenage Arts & Leisure Centre allows assistance dogs in all areas of the building. Please speak to the Box Office about any special requirements when booking. No other animals are permitted in any area of the building.
