Rare Productions will be at The Gordon Craig Theatre Stevenage Conferencing suites on Thurs 15th & Sun 18th July. Casting for Hairspray, performing on 11th - 13th November 2021 at The Gordon Craig.
No need to book - just turn up at the allotted age group times listed below.
All audition material is provided.
Thursday 15th July
5pm - 6.30pm | 8 - 12 years
6.30pm - 8pm | 13 - 21 years
Sunday 18th July
1.30pm - 2.30pm | 8 - 12 years
2.30pm - 3.30pm | 13- 21 years
You only need to attend one audition date, participants must bring only one parent/guardian with them on the day to avoid large gatherings. Parents/Guardians will be dropping off only, there will be no waiting inside the centre. Auditions will be held in the Ellen Terry and Lewis Silken Conferencing suite. The entrance will be via the Healthy Hub situated along the walkway tunnel that links the Leisure Centre and train station. Social distancing rules, one way systems and the use of face masks must be followed. In the event of the sessions filling up to capacity you will be given a time slot and asked to return. HAIRSPRAY In 1960s Baltimore, dance-loving teen Tracy Turnblad (Nikki Blonsky) auditions for a spot on "The Corny Collins Show" and wins. She becomes an overnight celebrity, a trendsetter in dance, fun and fashion. Perhaps her new status as a teen sensation is enough to topple Corny's reigning dance queen and bring racial integration to the show. A great musical for all the family with some amazing show tunes as well.
