The Drama Academy Ethos
Whether your child dances around your house, sings at the top of their voice or needs a confidence boost, our drama classes are tailor-made to offer every individual a chance to sing, dance, act and make friends in a friendly, secure and safe environment. No previous performance experience is necessary, just bags of enthusiasm and a positive attitude!
Our classes focus on developing talent, social skills and having fun in a structured and supportive atmosphere. Recognising every child as an individual we encourage team work to develop end-of-term performances showcasing everyone's achievements. Classes run over three terms following the academic year.
So whether your child is a future Oscar winner or just wants to make new friends, we look forward to being part of their development in the performing arts.
The Teaching Team
All of our teachers are carefully selected to ensure all of our students receive the highest level of support, encouragement and advice from people who trained professionally at drama and musical theatre schools and either have or are currently still working in the business as professional performers and artists. Passionate about what they teach, their students and all of our classes, all of the team are DBS checked and trained in Child Protection, Safeguarding Children and First Aid.
We do not allow parents or carers to stay in the classroom during teaching time to limit distractions and maintain our child protection policy, however we do have a cafe on site and parents are welcome to discuss anything with the team at parent drop in sessions or at pre-arranged appointments.
No Obligation Taster Sessions
Term fees are non-refundable. With this in mind we offer no obligation taster sessions in the first class of every term. These taster sessions are a chance for you to meet the team for the first five minutes of the class and then leave your child to participate. Once the class is finished a member of the team will be happy to discuss how your child got along and whether they feel the class is suitable. Once you have had the opportunity to talk through things with your child then you can make an informed decision about whether our classes are right for you and your family. As long as you have booked on prior to the second week's class your place will be secure. Please note we do not allow parents to stay in the room for classes.
