Rare Productions, the UK's largest youth musical theatre production company, is excited to be producing the smash hit musical HAIRSPRAY from 3rd to 5th November. Performances are at 7.30pm with an additional matinee on 5th November at 2.30pm.
It is 1962 in Baltimore, and plus-sized teen, Tracy Turnblad's dream is to dance on the Corny Collins Show, a local TV dance programme. When she does indeed win a role on the show, she becomes a celebrity overnight and meets a colourful array of characters!
The original Broadway production opened in 2002 and closed in 2009 after over 2500 performances. The London production opened in 2007 and ran for over 2.5 years.
Featuring a large cast of very talented local young people, this is a show that all the family can enjoy, with fabulous songs and exciting dance routines.
