During the 1930s French dramatist, Artaud, developed a surrealist concept of performance art, the Theatre of Cruelty. In essence his belief was that audience members should know they won't die when they watch a performance but they should fear what could happen to them - come and spend the afternoon exploring this concept and its effect on Surrealism art.
